Welcome to the •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Seasonal Blog Hop!
This month we will be featuring Valentines, National Papercrafting Month or the Stamp of the Month creations. If you’ve arrived from Diane's blog you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.
This month we have a number of Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using various CTMH products to help you get in a mood for Valentines, NPM or SOTM.....
Anyway... here is my simple card. I started with cutting a 2.75"x2.75" square white daisy cardstock & randomly stamping 2 flower images (kinda like making my own wallpaper) but making sure to leave a small white space to stamp my sentiment.
Then... as you can see from this photo I started using the blender pen and the ink from the ink pad lid to colour in different shades of the flowers. This way you can colour as light or as dark as you like but it looks like you painted it with watercolour.
I coloured in both the sorbet ink & the whisper ink...
While playing with this stamp set I tried stamping the grey/whisper flowers silver... but didn't like the end result so I decided to just stamp the sentiment in versa mark & heat emboss silver.
As you can see in the 2 photo's below...
I heat embossed with the silver embossing powder to get the raised ink effect.
Final card... simple but so me!
Thank you so much for following along on our Blog Hop today! I hope you enjoyed all the lovely artwork... Now it’s time to head on over to The Scrap Zone Blog and see Julie's artwork!
