Two Page Hopscotch Layout

One of newest items from CTMH is the Picture My Life simple scrapbooking cards.  I was sent some in my new consultant kit so I decided to try them out.  The great thing about them is it helps with sub-titles...and it gives you some page prompts/ideas...I'm awful at journaling...     

I also tried using ink on scrapbook paper..... I was quite nervous seems if you make a mistake you have to stamp again or find a way to 'hide' or as we scrappers call it... embellish it ;)

Here is the final layout with photos...







Supplies used are all CTMH:
Paper:  Colonial White CS, Flaxen CS, Hopscotch
Stamps:  Rain or Shine D1634
Inks:  Glacier, Smoothie, Lagoon, Slate, Twlight
Embellishment:  Stuck on You Puffies, Hopscotch Assortment Flair & Complements Stickers, Flaxen thick twine
Other:  3D foam tape

Mojo Monday #380

Here's another Mojo Monday challenge/sketch.....

For this weeks challenge I decided to use the valentine's day paper that CMTH has out now in the Seasonal Expressions catty.

Supplies used are all CTMH:

Paper:  Slate, Cranberry CS, Heartstrings, Teal Glitter paper

Stamps:  Holiday Tags D1560

Inks:  Versamark, black embossing powder

Embellishment:  Stuck on You Puffies, Heartstrings Assortment Flair 

Other:  3D foam tape 

Simple CTMH Hopscotch Layout

So... since I received my new demo kit a few weeks ago I have been super excited to 'play' with the new Hopscotch paper.   I just love, love, love this colour combo... Don't you?
This layout is a simple one... I just wanted to show off both sides of the beautiful paper....
In the past  I used to scrapbook pages with the photos I wanted to use first.  But I recently realised that I was getting annoyed I was never using my recent papers seems I was working on photos in age order for my kids.  Now I like the freedom of picking up a pretty paper set and using a sketch or Pinterest page I like and then finding the photos afterwards.   Plus I have started to use the CTMH 13x13 resealable bags to store the papers, stickers, embellishments & photos together.

I used a simple sketch I found in the Scrapbook & Cards today magazine - it's a great place to get some inspiration when your mind is fuzzy.

I decided to start off this week with a crafty challenge to myself.... so I went back thru my old blog posts and remembered I used to do online challenges to help me think outside the usual crafty box.    So... I'm going to do the Monday Mojo Challenge #379 this week....

A new start.... with a new company....

So... I'm back..?!?!?!?!   Where have I been you ask..???
Well... where do I start... I've moved to a new house... my little baby boy is now 3yrs old...and my little girl is now 7!!!  I stopped being a Stampin Up! demo so I could devote myself more to scrapbooking than card-making.  I still love SU! stuff... but just wanted to focus on my scrapbooking... plus I came across a Close to My Heart catalogue and couldn't put it down.   So....I decided to sign up as a Close to My Heart as a consultant.  Here are some of my earlier creations using the older CTMH papers...

Sweets & Sparkles!!!

So for the last few weeks I've been busy preparing for a few craft sales... one was last week in Stittsville...... I made a bunch of Christmas Cards & also some sweet treats to sell.   The hard thing about the sweet stuff is you can't prepare too far in advance :(  I made a ton of cake pops which I have finally mastered to a sweet perfection & some bark.  I managed to break-even and sell most of the sweet treats... and I ever made the local rag/paper :)

Another sneak peak...something gold...

So I've been working on a few more cards... seems I always love to give people options when they attend one of my card making events.  I went out of my comfort zone by using gold.... as you can see it really sparkles...

Next few cards will be using my new Santa & Snowmen stamps... watch this space!!!!!!

It's been long overdue....

I've been absent for a while... but I've finally freed up some time to scrap & blog again.  Sadly I'm no longer a SU! demo... but I still use their cardstock, inks & stamps. I also use Close to My Heart products as well seems it helps me keep on track with my scrapbooking....

Anyway... hopefully you will see some card making classes posted on my blog soon...Sorry it's been so long... kids, moving house, Pinterest....it totally takes it out of you ;)

Spring cleaning & Changing times..

So I know I've been away from my blog for a while but I have been a little busy with Christmas, My daughters 4th birthday & life with a 6mth old ;} Don't worry... I have been doing crafty projects... but I've also been spring cleaning my craft space. Lately I've been feeling a little uninspired & overwhelmed so not much creativity has come out after Christmas. After some long hard talks with my family I've also decided to stop being a demo for a while... just to see how it goes. I'll still create & use SU! stuff... but I'm going to see how I go for a little while seems I don't have the time/energy to devote to classes. Besides... I have 'friends' in high SU! places... so if I need a fix I'll get it ;)

ScrapTime!

So one of the things I've been focusing on during my blog-blackout! is my scrapbooks :) I mean.. I'd like to catch up... but as someone asked me the other week at a crop... "Do scrapbookers ever catch up?" the answer was quick & easy... "no... most of us don't" :) but I've been trying to get some done seems it can be overwhelming.

Anyway... I've done some pages in the last few months.. some of them are not SU! papers/ embellishments .. but that's because I had more non SU! scrapbook stuff before I became a demo. Infact... my sticker collection is crazy!! ek!! But...I am trying to de-clutter over the next few weeks....maybe I'll post some photos of my craft space once it's up & working efficiently.
